1.3. A new demographic monitoring program, designed to provide annual estimates of adult survival and reproductive success, was initiated by USFWS at Midway Atoll and French Frigate Shoals in 2005/2006. Monitoring was expanded to Laysan Island and Kauai in 2006/2007. A brief summary of the program and efforts during the first field season are presented in Handout:
